UHMS Science Students Find Out If All Organisms Become Fossils in Ms. Dobelle's 8th Grade Class

Over at Union Hill, the 8th-grade students in Ms. Dobelle’s 8th-period science class have been busily working hands-on during labs to discover if all organisms become fossils. On September 14, in room 304, they used sugar cubes to represent the organism and model magic clay to represent the sediment that can preserve the “fossil.” The water they added represented the natural weathering and changes in the Earth that can affect fossil formation. Students discovered that not every organism fossilizes; however, an imprint may be left behind while other organisms remain intact! Great job, Ms.Dobelle, and all her awesome students!
